Heidi and Erika Anderson are fascinated with parallel universes, where humans embody animals, unearthly beings, and spirits that explode into view in a kaleidoscope of colors.
Born in Seattle, within 24 minutes of each other, they now live on opposite coasts. Having both spent time living in each city illustrating and making art, Heidi currently resides in San Francisco, and Erika in NY. Heidi and Erika draw inspiration from mythologies and folk art from around the world and are involved in creating their own mythology through a shared visual language built on collaboration, and individual exploration.
They have shown independently and are now bringing their artwork together to form one body of work that speaks of their connection to art making and each other.
